Description of proposal
To seek approval to waive the requirement for two extra car park spaces required under clause 52.06 in the scheme. We are operating a pop-up summer cafe with a renewable limited liquor license that will take up 50spm of paving within the resort village plaza (please see red line diagram attached). During summer there is only three food & beverage outlets (including ours) operating within the resort. The resort itself has significant car parking to cater for the winter season which can see 10,000 people per day in the resort and many food/beverage outlets. During summer the resort would only generally see 100-200 people per day across the entire resort area. To this there is ample existing car parks within 200m of our cafe; and the next closest outlet is approximately 400m away. It is also not common practice to provide car parking spaces on site within Alpine Resorts. Attached to this proposal is a satellite map of the resort showing our outlet and carparks available; plus a supporting letter from Mt Buller Resort Management for this pop-up cafe and exemption.
