Description of proposal
To locate a floating pontoon at Appleton Dock which will be used as a helipad. The proposed site is located within the Port Zone of the Port of Melbourne Planning Scheme and a 'Heliport' is a section 2 use - meaning a planning permit is required. The helipad will be used to transfer Marine Pilots to other ports to facilitate Marine Pilots servicing inbound and outbound vessels.
