Description of proposal
ARTC Inland Rail is seeking planning approval for proposed buildings and works on an existing 220kV transmission line at 21 Bowers Road, Winton Victoria. The works are required as part of the Inland Rail Beveridge to Albury Project, to achieve the vertical clearances between the north eastern rail line and the existing transmission line, for double-stacked freight trains. The proposed works involve the replacement of an existing steel lattice transmission tower with a taller steel lattice tower to achieve vertical clearances between the transmission line and the rail.
