The Connecting Community to Builders program is here to help you get back on your feet after the October 2022 floods by connecting you with registered and available tradespeople who can assist in repairing or rebuilding your home.
Register for the program
- Let us know if you require a builder, a plumber, or both.
- Submit your request
- Once you've submitted your request we’ll review your repair and/or rebuild needs.
- Within seven business days, you’ll receive an email with a list of registered and available tradespeople in your area, or who are willing to travel to your area.
- You can review this list and select the tradesperson who suits your needs best.

Due to high demand, some trades may not be available in your area. We work closely with our industry partners to also identify trades who are willing to travel to your area.
More about the program
Matching with builders and tradespeople
Once you have registered, we'll send you a list of approved builders and tradespeople ready to work on your project. You can then directly communicate with your selected professional to coordinate the services that align with your needs.
Quality assurance
We've handpicked only fully registered and licensed tradespeople from reputable associations to ensure you receive top-quality service.
Permit guidance
If you're planning any building work, it's essential to determine whether you need a planning permit, a building permit, or both. We recommend consulting with your local council for guidance on permit requirements.
The Planning and Building Assistance Rebate Scheme for Flood Recovery supports homeowners with costs associated with preparing applications for planning and building permits to repair or rebuild homes damaged by the October 2022 floods.
To check your eligibility and submit your application, go to the Windermere website
Program duration
Registrations for the program close on 30 June 2025. If needed, your project can continue after this date if you and your chosen tradespeople agree.
